	The Lizzano Cantine products are of medium-high quality and they are traded with different trade-mark: for example, Le Masserie, for the D.O.C. wines (Denominazione di Origine Controllata - Certification of Controlled Origin) , Alta Gamma, for I.G.T. wines (Indicazione Geografica Tipica - Typical Geographic Indication) and finally Ruggieri for table-wines.
The D.O.C. and IGT wines are products that have to comply to a set of well-estabilished production rules and standards. In particular, the D.O.C. wines have to be compliant to a set of very restricted constraints in order to guarantee their quality: kind and percentage of grapes used, hectoliters of wine produced for each hectare, minimum alcoholic strength, ageing process adopted and chemical peculiarities.
