Which information should the label
supply?
kind of the product (wine, strong sweet wine, spumante
or other); minimal guaranteed content with respect to
the container, with a percentage of tollerance not more
than 2,5%, for bottles, and 3% for flasks; name of the
wine, the company and style of the company who carried
out bottling, including the wine cellar and plant location;
alcoholic degree.
The label reveals also an important particular; infact
it usually brings the phrase "wine bottled from
the producer to the origin", or the phrase "wine
bottled in the production zone". The distinction
is quite clear: according to the second phrase the bottling
process was not carried out by the grapes producer,
but by a different company in any case operating within
estabilished zone, as prescribed by the "production
norms".
In order to buy the right wine it is necessary to take
into account also the qualification of wine, especially
if they refer to different variants of the same wine
such as dry, spumante or strong sweet wine.
