Corso Europa, 37/39 74020 Lizzano TA ITALY

Lizzano is a typical small village (around 7000 inhabitants) of Taranto province but its culture is more near to Lecce, as is evident from the local dialect very different from the variety spoken in Taranto. Lizzano is composed by the city area (the old village) and the coast area, which is well-known as Marina di Lizzano. It represents a renowned summer resort in the south of Italy.

The Lizzano Cantine is located in the middle area of Mediterranean, in an area of great civilisations where the mix of sun and sea produces a pleasant union exalting the fruits of precious and well-known vine.
From historical point of view, Lizzano has been a place where different and interesting people and cultures have been in touch each other for a long time (Ionic, Samnite, Sybarite and Apulian civilisations).
In this context, the viticulture has always had a central role in the life of the village, strongly influencing all economic activities and cultural exchanges.
These local traditions are still followed today by Cantine Lizzano, which continue to produce wine in a traditional way with modern technologies. This allows the company to play a significant role within the whole oenological production of Mediterranean wines.
